The undefeated La Dolfina defeated UAE Polo—the tournament’s two-time defending champion—9–4 on Saturday, December 6, on Field 2 of the Campo Argentino de Polo Galicia in Palermo, and in doing so secured its fifth title—becoming the most successful team—in the 9th Argentine Women’s Polo Open. The tournament featured three teams rated between 32 and 36 FEM goals, composed of some of the best players from Argentina, the United States, France, and England. After two very even opening chukkers, in which UAE Polo appeared slightly better positioned, La Dolfina delivered a strong third period to take the lead on the scoreboard and settle into the match. From that point on, the team from Cañuelas showed its best polo. With an outstanding collective performance and four goals from Mía Cambiaso, the top scorer of the final, La Dolfina closed the match with a 9–4 victory, clearly demonstrating the superiority of the championship team, which won all three matches it played in the tournament.
